The presentation given at TechFest 2024 discusses the historical evolution of insurance. YuLife aims to revolutionize the industry by focusing on prevention, gamification, and embedding fun into insurance, using modern technology and innovative business models to engage users. Accelerating Business with insdi

In this Demo session, Joel Rothman introduces insdi, an instant digital forms solution co-founded by himself and Nick Esterhuyzen in 2020. Motivated by personal frustration with paperwork in medical treatments and other industries, they developed insdi to make information gathering more efficient and mobile-friendly. Insdi focuses on instant digital forms suitable for legislated environments and data sovereignty. Joel elaborates on the platform’s functionalities, including rapid setup, self-service template management, and user engagement tracking. Several client scenarios highlight insdi’s flexibility and efficiency in different sectors, like insurance. The demo concludes by showing how insdi can streamline onboarding processes, manage large-scale data submissions, and integrate easily into existing business workflows.

Enhancing Insurance Operations with Profida: A Demo Session

In this presentation,first-time TechFest participant Clint Faulmann demos Profida, an all-in-one insurance software suite, highlighting its evolution from a desktop application to a cloud-based solution since 2017. The Profida software, which supports various insurance types including life, medical, and short-term, is tailored for small to medium enterprises and customizable for specific business needs and commercial products. Clint demonstrates key functionalities such as policy renewals, data mining, financial reporting, and user management.The demo concludes with a practical example of policy renewal and premium adjustments.

Innovating Employee Benefits: The YuLife and JMR Software Journey

YuLife aimed to create an advanced admin system tailored for the South African market, that complimented and met the needs of the digitally enabled app offering to the South African market, addressing industry pain points such as manual processes and legacy systems. In collaboration with JMR Software, YuLife adopted an Agile approach, ensuring the system was seamless, automated, and integrated. The project followed a set timeline with multiple phases, achieving milestones from August 2022 to March 2024, including the launch of the YuLife South Africa app. The app promotes healthier lifestyles by rewarding employees with Yucoin for activities like walking and cycling. The YuLife app also offers features like wellbeing challenges, rewards, and a comprehensive wellbeing hub. The partnership between YuLife and JMR Software emphasized cultural alignment, agility, and efficiency, leading to a successful implementation in the South African market.
